6/20 -- vignettes from favorite operas

Posted by Keith Griffith on 06.19.09 at 07:39 PM

No tickets, no reservations, just opera. On Saturday at 5:30 PM, the South Shore Opera Company closes out its inaugural season at the South Shore Cultural Center (7059 S. South Shore) with a night of vignettes from some of the genre's most famous titles.  Duets, trios, and ensembles will perform selections from La Boheme, Carmen, Cosi Fan Tutti, Porgy and Bess, and others.

Why isn' there more coverage in the print version of the Reader?. Here is something really cool happening on the south side and it is virtually ignored. There are other parts to the city besides the north side...really!
