Performing Arts / Onstage / Arts Valentine's Day means Vagina Monologues

The Vagina Monologues is to February what A Christmas Carol is to December. It's become an annual tradition to stage Eve Ensler's suite of solos in this month, in observance of V-Day--a global initiative that appropriates Valentine's Day to address violence against women and girls.
There are no less than 17 stagings in Chicago alone this year, both professional and collegiate. All are benefits, some for specific organizations such as the Chicago Women's Health Center.
