According to the 2008 Global Cities Index, released by consulting firm A.T. Kearney, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and Foreign Policy magazine, Chicago ranked eighth among "most global cities." (New York was number one, followed by London, Paris, and Tokyo.) According to the CCGA, our ranking "is mainly driven by strong human capital and business activity."
