Monday meeting for performing arts museum

Posted by Deanna Isaacs on 08.01.08 at 08:58 AM

This is it: the community meeting that could get a proposed Chicago museum of the performing arts off the ground.

The Chicagoland Theater and Dance Foundation is looking for input that'll shape the museum and a turnout that'll affirm interest. The organization's advisory committee now includes Richard Christiansen, Don Hall, Kevin Heckman, Jay Kelly, Kelly Leonard, Joan Mazzonelli, Sheldon Patinkin, Cathy Taylor, and Albert Williams, who's been championing the idea here. If you're a supporter of the performing arts scene in Chicago, you can help make this happen; if you're part of the performing arts scene, you're vital to it. Monday, 8/4, 7 PM, Mercury Theater, 3745 N. Southport. RSVP to jason@chicagoperformingarts.org appreciated.
