The store will remained closed until Whole Foods corrects the mouse problem and passes a reinspection, the city says. Friday, inspectors re-examined the store and found that it "clearly still has an infestation," said Tim Hadac, a health department spokesman. "Their failure surprised and disappointed us."
It's easy to make fun of Whole Foods... But the cliches don't do justice to the people who shop or work there.
I think what's lost in this tragedy is a sense of the obviously hardworking mice who are struggling to survive in an urban environment, and, it seems, succeeding.
