NBC restaurants reality show casting Chicago

Posted by Julia Thiel on 03.11.08 at 04:49 PM

The producers behind Nanny 911, Hell's Kitchen, and Kitchen Nightmares have created an as-yet-unnamed restaurant competition show that's looking for two-person teams of people "with pre-existing relationships, who have always dreamed of opening their own restaurant." The list of people who'd qualify is pretty broad, and strangely morphs in the middle from possible relationships to general descriptors: "couples, friends, family, co-workers, chef teams, retired couples, college grads, weekend gourmets, old and young."

Chicago's open casting call is at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago on Saturday, March 22, from 10 AM to 4 PM. You can download an application and learn more about specific requirements here; e-mail NBCteamsChicago@yahoo.com or call 323-785-2325 for more information.

this sounds like a US version of the BBC show Last Restaurant Standing, which I am enjoying very much. I am sure the US will dumb it down...
