In tribute to the late tenor, WFMT 98.7 is playing his performances all day. At noon, they're playing one of his recordings of Verdi's Requiem, conducted by Georg Solti and featuring Marilyn Horne and Joan Sutherland. John von Rhein, in a roundup of Pavarotti's best recordings, recommends the Solti version. You can watch Pavarotti rehearsing the Abbado version here.
