Play your own multi-instrumental musical painting, or paint your own tune, at Visual Acoustics. (Via Eszter Hargittai at Crooked Timber and Northwestern, from Amit Agarwal's Digital Inspiration.) Does anybody know of more sites like this -- including ones that might, for instance, allow you to save your work?

For those who like to see what they're hearing in the natural world, Cornell University has tens of thousands of audio and video clips of bird species as well as lions, whales, and frogs -- searchable, viewable, and listenable for free here. (Hat tip to ResearchBuzz.)
